Bella Hadid has spoken openly about the emotional and physical impact that her chronic disease, Lyme, continues to have on her daily life.
On Thursday, June 25, the 29-year-old model published a series of posts on Instagram Stories, where she confessed that she is going through another deterioration in her health condition. She began with a long message, in which she explained how difficult it is to describe the pain, exhaustion, anxiety, mental fog, infections and traumas she experiences, which, according to her, often lead to deep isolation and depression, especially when they last for a long time.

"Especially when you've tried everything you can," she wrote. Bella said she has read various books and stories to better understand the symptoms and treatment options, but despite her efforts, she continues to face relapses.
"You look for answers that no one can give you. You fight. You finally have a few good days. You think you've found the right treatment, routine, and way... and then everything comes back. Suddenly nothing seems safe anymore."
She explained that because of these periods, she is forced to cancel plans and cannot make decisions, because she never knows how she will wake up the next day.
"You wake up with anxiety already living in your body. You feel physical pain before your feet touch the floor... and yet you have to find the strength to get through another day with a completely exhausted body and mind."
The model said that over the years she has learned to hide these feelings.

"Sometimes I feel like unless you've experienced something like this yourself, or loved someone who has, it's impossible to fully understand."
Bella also sent a message to followers who are facing similar difficulties.
"There is light, even if you can't see it today... There is hope."
He then shared the words he repeats to himself when he feels at his lowest point.
"I have to remind myself that healing is not a straight path. I believe that God only gives us the burdens we can bear, even when at the time we don't understand why. I believe that everything in life has a deeper purpose."
Hadid admitted that, no matter how difficult it is, she believes that every difficult period leaves behind a lesson, more compassion, or a strength we didn't know we had.
"It leads us to the places, people, and experiences we have today. I have so much gratitude for life, even though I live in a body that has more bad days than good. It's hard to find joy, purpose, or a reason to even leave the house... but we'll keep trying. Always."
At the end of her message, Bella addressed all those who are going through difficult times.
"You are loved. You are important. Your life has a purpose. And you will get through every difficult season that life brings you. I love you and hug you tightly."

In another post, she showed that she tries to find happiness even in small things, posting a photo of herself wearing a "Star Wars"-themed cloak and writing that it made her day a little better.
He then published a photo of himself crying and admitted that this time he was unable to overcome the worsening of his illness.
"I can't shake this feeling. I slept for 11 hours and I still sleep during the day."
She indicated that she has followed every treatment recommended by the doctors she has consulted, but to no avail.
"I've tried every protocol from every doctor I've seen. Still nothing is helping me. I've already diagnosed myself with 12 other diseases, so it's okay."
Bella also discovered that she was out of breath just walking to the kitchen.
"I don't think there are any functioning brain cells left, and the last two that are left seem to be fighting with each other. Today I managed to take a shower without fainting... and, if you know what this condition is like, you know that for me that was a huge success."
Finally, she shared two videos of a content creator who humorously talks about the difficulties of life with a chronic illness, showing the constant fatigue and daily struggles to manage symptoms.
