What?! Zendaya and Tom Holland got married — and we missed the moment!

Zendaya and Tom Holland are married, according to Zendaya's stylist, Law Roach, who made the announcement during the 2026 Actor Awards on Sunday, March 1. Speaking to Access Hollywood on the red carpet, Roach said, "The wedding is already happening," mocking reporters with the words, "You missed it." When asked if it was true, he laughed and confirmed, "It's very true!"

The couple got engaged while on vacation in late 2024. Speculation about their engagement began during the 2025 Golden Globe Awards on Jan. 5, when Zendaya was spotted wearing a diamond ring on her left finger. TMZ confirmed the news the next day, citing sources close to the couple. An insider told PEOPLE that Tom Holland had wanted to propose for a long time and always knew Zendaya was “the one.”

In September 2025, Tom Holland confirmed the engagement during a panel, correcting a reporter who called Zendaya his "girlfriend" by jokingly saying, "Fiancée." The couple, known for their privacy, initially sparked dating rumors in 2016 while filming "Spider-Man: Homecoming," but both denied the romance at the time.

In July 2017, a source told PEOPLE that they had started dating while filming the movie.

"They have been very careful to keep their relationship private and out of the public eye, but they have gone on vacation together and try to spend as much time together as possible," the source said.

Another source added that the two are ambitious, challenge each other, and have a similar sense of humor, often making each other laugh.

Their romance was officially confirmed in 2021 when they were spotted kissing in a car. In November of that year, Holland spoke about the challenges of balancing fame with the privacy of their relationship during an interview with GQ, saying that moments he thought were private are now shared with the world. Zendaya expressed similar sentiments, saying that love is something sacred and special, to be experienced and preserved between two people who love each other.

Zendaya has since spoken out about accepting the fact that her relationship with Tom Holland will always have a public element, adding that she won't let it stop her from living her life or enjoying the relationship to the fullest. She said in an interview with Elle on August 23, 2023:

“I can’t not be a person and live my life while loving the person I love. You can’t hide. It’s not fun either. I understand that more than ever now.”
