We're convinced these 5 anti-denim trends will replace jeans this summer

Warm weather often doesn't come gradually, but suddenly goes from a few mild spring days to intense heat and humidity, so we're avoiding investing in little-used spring clothing and focusing on our summer wardrobe, especially our bottoms. Jeans are worn most of the year, but in the summer their heavy, stiff material becomes uncomfortable, so they're being replaced with lighter alternatives.

One of the main trends is the drawstring waist pants , which offer comfort and simplicity and come in many different shapes. In addition to the classic straight-cut models in linen or cotton, shorter and looser versions in silk or lightweight material are also being seen, combined with tight-fitting blouses and summer sandals. Also, semi-transparent models or those with layers like skirts over pants are becoming popular, especially for vacations when used over swimwear.

Very short shorts are another trend that has started to spread early, with models ranging from sporty ones with bright colors and patterns to very simple versions with low waist cuts. They are often combined with swimsuits, but also with loose T-shirts or thin sweaters for a more relaxed look.

Meanwhile, the rounded-shaped trousers, called "balloons", bring a more playful and unique style, thanks to their puffy and slightly shorter cut that creates a distinctive effect. Alongside them, models inspired by old clothes, with wide and romantic shapes, are also making a comeback.

In contrast to the very short pants, the knee-length pants , known as bermudas, continue to be very popular and are expected to remain so throughout the summer. This year they are presented in more modern versions, with ties at the waist, softer materials and a lower cut.

Finally, short dresses with lace details appear as an elegant alternative for the warm season, bringing a delicate and playful look with soft colors and simple cuts, ideal for hot days.
