Lenny Kravitz has surprised fans for years with an unusual habit: he trains at the gym wearing leather pants or jeans, instead of sportswear.
In an interview with Men's Health magazine, the 62-year-old singer explained that this choice has a very practical reason.
"I go on stage in leather pants, jeans or whatever I'm wearing, so I also train in the gym in the same pants," he said.

According to him, this gives him the opportunity to exercise at any time, without having to change. Kravitz also revealed that he does not use scales to check his physical form. He immediately understands if he has gained weight by the way his pants fit.
"My pants tell me everything. If they're a little tight, I know I'm out of shape," he said.
He even revealed that actor Denzel Washington taught him this expression.
"Pants don't lie."

Kravitz also went viral in 2024, when he posted a video of himself lifting weights at the gym wearing leather pants, boots, a mesh top, and sunglasses. Many commenters were surprised by his appearance, while others praised him for his signature style.

In a previous interview, he explained that he trains in leather pants or jeans when working out with weights, as he doesn't sweat much. Only during intense aerobic exercises does he choose to wear tracksuits, because then the sweating is much greater.
