According to a private detective, cheating men often do this strange thing

There are some "signs of infidelity" that have become almost clichés: the phone turned face down, the late-night text messages, the "I'm busy tonight," the unexpected new perfume. But according to an Australian private detective, there's a much stranger detail that she says she's repeatedly noticed in unfaithful men: their car suddenly becomes extra clean.

Cassie Crofts, who runs the agency "Venus Investigations" and deals with infidelity cases, said that one of the things that has caught her attention most often over the years is the fact that many men who start a parallel relationship begin to take extremely great care of their cars.

“It’s not something I invented,” she said in a TikTok video. “A mentor told me that once, and since then, I couldn’t help but notice it on many occasions.”

According to her, these are men who usually don't have any special relationship with the cleanliness of their car, but who suddenly start washing it constantly, taking it for professional cleaning, or keeping it in perfect condition.

"There are men who go and clean their car, wash it, when they generally don't do that.

In the comments, many people said they had experienced something similar themselves. "My ex [did this] and every time I got out of the car, he would make sure I took out every single thing I had - sunglasses, hat, water bottle - everything," said one girl. "I didn't understand why at the time, but my instincts were telling me something."

Another said she found eye shadow in her ex-husband's car early in their relationship, only to later realize that he cleaned the car constantly "so that no trace was left."

Of course, a clean car doesn't automatically mean cheating. But if someone suddenly changes their behavior and starts obsessing over details that they previously didn't pay any attention to, it might be worth taking a closer look. Because, as people who deal with these stories every day often say, the small changes are usually the last to catch your eye.
