The cyclical nature of fashion has also hit the swimwear world hard this year. This summer has been filled with throwbacks, as some of the most beloved styles from decades past are making a comeback in our vacation bags, but with a more modern twist.

Swimsuits with attached tops have left behind the reputation of the early 2000s, thanks to support from fashion brands, while beach sports pants are becoming a favorite among girls known for their style.

And it doesn't end there. Minimalist bikinis, retro-inspired prints, and high-cut swimsuits are showing that sometimes the coolest trends are the ones worth making a comeback.
