Jay-Z has stunned fans with his latest transformation. The legendary rapper appeared with a new hairstyle during Game 3 of the NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden on June 8, leaving behind his signature dreadlocks style that he had worn for nearly eight years.
The 56-year-old immediately attracted attention as he watched the game from the stands, wearing a special Bode Lucky Draw jacket . However, the "luck" was not enough for the team he supported, as they lost by a score of 115-111.

His appearance on the stage was a solo moment , as his wife, Beyoncé, and the couple's three children were not in attendance. However, he managed to grab attention even on his own because of his look .
According to renowned stylist Letisia "Lety" Ravelo, the transformation process was not easy at all. She revealed that removing the dreadlocks was accomplished over six intensive days of work, in collaboration with a hair specialist.
"Jay-Z knew it would be a long process and showed a lot of patience. There was never a moment when he thought about giving up or cutting his hair. Once he made the decision, he was completely committed," she said.

After that, the rapper's hair was braided for a week and then shaped into the afro style that is being widely commented on on social media.
And Jay-Z's reaction? According to the stylist, he was more than pleased.
"He liked it immensely. As soon as he saw the final result, he was really happy with the transformation."
