Ariana Grande is taking another step in her acting career, joining two iconic names in cinema, Robert De Niro and Ben Stiller, in the new film “ Focker In-Law .” The first trailer for the project has already been released, immediately sparking interest among comedy fans.
The film is a sequel to the hit series Meet the Parents , which follows the story of Greg Focker (Stiller) and his constant efforts to win the approval of his strict father-in-law, played by Robert De Niro. The original film became a global hit, grossing an estimated $330 million and spawning several sequels over the years.
In this new chapter, Ariana Grande is expected to bring a fresh and energetic dimension, revealing more of her comedic side, an aspect that fans can't wait to see on screen.
During the presentation at CinemaCon , Ben Stiller joked, "I can say that now I'm the new De Niro of the show ," referring to the fact that he's almost the same age De Niro was in the first film in 2000. The reaction was not long in coming from Robert De Niro, who humorously replied:
"Don't say that, it's disrespectful... but it was a very nice comparison."
With such a cast and the return of one of the most beloved comedy stories, " Focker In-Law " is expected to be one of the most anticipated films, bringing nostalgia to old fans and a new spirit to new audiences.
The comedy “ Focker-in-Law ” will premiere in theaters on November 25th.
