Apparently, in 2026, a photo created with artificial intelligence is enough to blow up the internet. This time, the "victim" was Çiljeta Xhilaga, while Gjergj Leka also found himself in the middle of the debate.
It all started with a fabricated image circulating on social media, claiming that the President of the Republic had awarded Çiljeta the title of "Great Mistress of Labor." The "news" was clearly false, but not everyone understood it immediately.
Among those who reacted was Gjergj Leka, who described the post as "the sarcasm of the year", adding that, if the news were true, "it would be the Albanian president's most shameful day".
It wasn't long before Çiljeta decided to respond publicly. The singer clarified that she had not received any decoration and reminded Leka that it was fake news. In her reaction, she expressed disappointment with the way he had chosen to comment.
"Calm down Gjergj… it's just fake news. I haven't received any decorations, but it's shameful how an artist like you can express yourself in this way with such anger. What I have contributed to since 2000 is of little importance to me than how much it is appreciated. I have fulfilled my dreams by singing, presenting and acting… Good health and I wish you a little shame for yourself within your dark selfish conscience that an artistic soul cannot stand."
But the reply didn't end there. Gjergj Leka responded again, saying that he appreciates Çiljeta as a person, but not for her contribution to Albanian art.
"I appreciate you for the girl you are, but not for what you have given to Albanian art. They are two different sides of the coin. My heart aches when I see that your life and your musical tastes have changed recently. I wish you a life and music with values. As for the shame I should have, what you said makes me laugh."
