Letter to my husband on the 25th anniversary of marriage

Dear Peter,

This month we celebrate 25 years as a man and woman. I still find it difficult to believe that we have been married for a quarter of a century now, it seems to me that we promised each other just a few years ago. How many things have happened since then.

We met in a closed-minded meeting, which our common companion Anne arranged on December 1, 1991. I remember that as I was ready, that day I changed my dress more than five times. I was so nervous about meeting you. I also think there was some attraction among us, but I did not realize I knew the man I was going to marry. We started out and not later than 24 days later, on Christmas Eve you suggested me. It did not go well enough to know it in less than three weeks, I knew that I wanted and what we had together was special.

18 months later we were married. We had so many plans, but only 6 months later I fell into a sick bed. After one year of treatment, including surgical interventions, I realized that my illness was chronic. The illness made me give up on my job as a nurse, whom I loved so much.

A little later I started using a wheelchair to move, while our dreams for having children had frozen. Nothing could be harder than this, but you helped me with everything you could. I became even more depressed, I cheat at home to spend time lying in bed.

The only one who supported me all this was you, my dear Pete. You never stopped me from supporting me. For you nothing was very difficult and you helped me in every possible way, even you helped me to fix the hair. You loved me in my most difficult time.

For nine years, our life was so, until I brought our baby to life in 2002. Maria brought a light to our lives. You are a wonderful, cautious and loving father.

You work so hard at the factory, but you never complain. Our home is such a happy place and we all laugh all day. Your name means "stone" and you are the stone of my life.

To appreciate this, I want to wish you a happy anniversary. Thanks for the past 25 years, you made me a really happy woman. I do not know what the future will bring to us, but I know I'll be here whenever you need it ...

I love you, Peter
