Sources close to the police forces told TMZ that 26-year-old Mac Miller had hours left when officers and doctors arrived at his home last Friday.

The night before Mac was separated from life, he gathered a group of friends to spend some time together. They stayed together until the early hours of Friday 7th September. Mac Miller's body was found dead around noon on Friday.

Miller died as a result of the overdose at his home in San Fernando Valley. Friends say they saw him alive last night on Thursday evening.

The rapper was reported dead at the scene after someone called emergency services, saying Mac was not breathing and did not react.

Various sources told TMZ that a small amount of white powder was found at the scene. Also, the police think the house was cleansed to eradicate all signs of drug use.

The cause of death is not yet determined, at least according to the death certificate. The legal doctor is still awaiting the results of the toxicology report, requiring 4 to 6 weeks to be compiled.
