Usher and (officially) his ex-wife, Grace Miguel, have signed divorce on Friday in Georgia. After two years of marriage, the pair announced the split nine months ago, though fans hoped for a possible comeback.
"We have decided to end it as a couple. We will remain deeply connected, good friends that will continue to support one another in the next stages of life. The immense dose of love and respect we have toward each other will continue to grow as we move forward, "they said at the time.
From the beginning, the couple have tried to keep the relationship too private, which is why the divorce is still unknown.
In January 2015, the news spread that Usher was engaged with his longtime girlfriend and at the same time partner in business. In September of the same year, the singer was featured in a groom suit, which spurred rumors of a possible marriage.
"They are terribly happy and the way it was done was all too sweet and romantic. He is eager to spend his entire life with him, "once said a source for E! News.
Months later, Usher accepted the marriage with Grace Miguel at "The Ellen Show". Before her, the artist was married to Tameka Foster, with whom she divorced in 2009.
