Drama? Not any more. After almost a decade of stinging, Lady Gaga and Madonna already have a rough report; at least that looks like the latest posts on Instagram.
French photographer JR, in collaboration with TIME, managed to capture this special moment as singers embrace each other at the party organized by talent manager Guy Oseary after the Oscars award ceremony. "Do not be confused with Italian girls," Madonna writes.
The first Gaga-Madonna hits date back to 2009, when Gaga exploded in music and many people began comparing them to pop queen Madonna.
In 2012, Madonna spoke openly saying that Lady Gaga's song "Born This Way" resembled the 1989 hit, "Express Yourself," trying to minimize Gaga's figure.
Four years later, in an interview with Zane Lowe, Gaga said "she and Madonna are very different".
"I do not want to show disrespect, she has a fantastic career, is the greatest pop star of all time. But I play a lot of tools, writing the texts myself, staying for hours in the studio. I'm a producer. I'm a writer. What I do is very different. "
In her documentary "Gaga: Five Foot Two", she adds among other things:
"My relationship with Madonna is as it were ... I admired him and I still admire him, no matter what he thinks about me. But to express it to me through the media, it's like a boy who gives me a love letter through a shock. "
But as these "conflicts" seem, they belong to the past. Dramas are also forgotten and friendships are created.
