An Israeli player became part of world record history as the oldest player in the world, who participates in a 73-year-old professional game.
Isaak Hayik set a new record Friday afternoon, where he was positioned as a goalkeeper for the Israeli team "Ironi Or Yehuda".
After playing 90 minutes, Hayik said he was ready for another game. The sportsman received the Guinness Prize during a ceremony held after the match, just days before his 74th anniversary.
Although Isaak's team lost 5-1, Hayik told Reuters that he was hosting a lot of dangerous balls. One of his sons, Moshe Hayik, considered his father's arrival as "unbelievable". The previous record was held by Uruguayan Robert Carmona, who was part of the Pan de Azucar formation in 2015 at the age of 53.
