In an interview with the Daily Mail, Charlize Theron said she was raising her first child as a girl, though she introduced it to the world as a boy.
The actress stated that seven-year-old Jackson - one of her adopted children - was three years old when he said "I'm not a boy."
"Until that moment, I considered her as a boy. When he told me that I was a girl, I thought from now on I had two daughters. Like any parent, I want them to see them happily. "
Jackson is a boy physically, but feels like a girl.
"I do not decide how it feels. My children are free to be themselves. My job as a parent is to assure everything they need to be oneself. "
Charlize adopted Jackson in 2012, while 3 years later adopted the next girl.
This is not the first time the actress says there are two daughters. During an interview in December 2018, she told actor Michael B. Jordan that "there are two beautiful African-American daughters."
