During the media conference held three days ago, Loredana denied having stolen nearly 1 million francs using threats and frauds. However, if the allegations are true, based on at least Albanian law, theft of property by libel or abuse of trust is punishable by a fine or up to five years of imprisonment. This offense, when committed in co-operation to the detriment of several persons or more than once, is punished by imprisonment from three to ten years, and when it has caused serious consequences, imprisonment from ten to twenty years.
Likewise, coercion by intimidation or violence to commit or not to commit a particular act, to gain unjustly property or any other benefit for itself or for the third, is punished by imprisonment for two to eight years and with fine from six hundred thousand to three million lek.
When the offense is committed using threatened use of weapon, torture, inhuman or degrading acts that have caused health damage, it is punishable by imprisonment from seven to fifteen years and a fine from two million to five million lek.
With regard to Swiss law, "20 Minutes" reports that the repertoire can be sentenced to up to 5 years in prison if the charges are confirmed.
