All of a sudden, Alban Skenderaj and Miriam Cani posted wedding photos in their respective Instagram profiles. After a 12-year relationship and their daughter, Amel, the couple decided to say "yes" in the Lord's eyes of the law.

Both published the same photos, accompanied by the same description. The couple married on May 7th.

It took 12 years for us to be officially a man and a woman, but in the heart we have been and are still those two young dreamers who, beyond the ceremonies, have always felt deep in their spirit that they are made to each other. It took 12 years to say 'yes' to God and people who love us, but in fact the hearts have said forever 'yes,' since the moment of kissing first!
It took 12 years to wear the wedding dress and spangles and exchange the rings when in the meantime we lived under one another's skin. We have shared every joy and bitterness, every good and bad that life has provided us.
Fate and soul wanted this marked moment to live exactly where in 2013 that unusual proposition left us for a little breath of two, but this time not in the underwater world but only a few meters away on the surface of an uninhabited island. The ceremony was held in Maldives, near the place where Albani propounds Miriam under water. It was their first diving in the Indian Ocean and Miriam, obviously, answered "yes."
