Mexican famous telenovela actress Edith Gonzalez passed away today (July 13th) at the age of 54.

Two years ago, the star of "Salomé" experienced a serious medical condition as a result of cancer and therefore underwent chemotherapy and medication. Though it seemed for a while that Gonzalez had won the battle to live, in fact this year her condition deteriorated significantly.

Edith Gonzalez became known to the Albanian public after the famous Telenovela 2000, "Salomé". Her career began in the 1970s with episodic roles, to become one of the most famous actresses of Mexican telenovela.
