After many searches, the lifeless body of the Albanian football player who is playing for Switzerland is found. On Saturday, Florijana Ismaili - originally from Presevo - rented a boat with her friend and traveled to Lake Como in Italy. She jumped into the water and did not appear anymore.
Rescue services in Italy told CNN that the body of the player was found at a depth of 204 feet by a diving team.
FIFA president Gianni Infantino described Ismaili's death as "an extremely chilling moment for the entire football community, especially at a time when he was preparing for the World Cup for Women."
Since 2011, Florijana played for the BSC Young Boys team. Previously, she was part of the FC Wilsonteil team in Switzerland and was also part of the Swiss national team making 33 appearances in 5 years.
