K-Pop star Sulli passed away at the age of 25. Police and the singer's manager confirmed the sad news for the BBC.
Sulli, whose real name is Choi Jin-ri, was found at her home in Seoul, South Korea.
The cause of death is still unknown, but the singer allegedly committed suicide.
Sulli, who was followed by more than five million followers on Instagram, was a former member of the f (x) group, which he left in 2015. The f (x) group, which at the time consisted of Victoria, Amber, Luna , Krystal and Sulli, was the first internationally acclaimed K-Pop band. The girls were ranked by Billboard in the Top10 of South Korea's most famous bands that changed the history of K-Pop.
According to journalist Taylor Galsby, Sulli was a free spirit. "She was one of the idols who decided to live life the way she wanted," he said.
In South Korea, pop stars are known as idols.
