What happened last night at the American Music Awards: Winners and Performances

Yesterday evening, at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, the 47th American Music Awards ceremony was held, where prizes were awarded for 2019's most popular artists and albums.

Ciara served as moderator. Post Malone was nominated for seven awards, while Ariana Grande and Billie Eilish each received six. Taylor Swift was honored with the Artist of the Decade Award, becoming the 29th AMA Award-winning artist.

Selena Gomez performed her two new songs, "Lose You to Love Me" and "Look at Her Now," but something went wrong and the singer stoned. Billie Eilish performed "All the Good Girls Go to Hell," Lizzo performed "Jerome," Dua Lipa went on stage with "Don't Start Now" while Taylor Swift sang six songs full of subliminal messages.

Swift is a battle with manager Scooter Braun, who, according to her, would not let her sing her old songs because she bought the rights to all of Swift's albums. Therefore, the singer's stage outfit had written album titles that already belong to Brown. The song that started the performance was "The Man," which states that if Taylor had been a man, she would have achieved all she deserved and no one would exploit her.

AMA couldn't have missed a bit of nostalgia. Green Day went on stage with "Father of All" and Basket Case; Christina Aguilera's "Fall On Me"; Tony Braxton with the immortal "Un-Break My Heart," while Shania Twain started off with the songs of others. The country music icon performed cover-ups of "Rockstar" by Post Malone, "Stressed Out" by Twenty One Pilots, "Shake It Off" by Taylor Swift, "God's Plan" by Drake and of course, it ended with "That Don ' t Impress Me Much ?and? Man! I Feel Like A Woman. ?
