Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are known as parents who give children names that are not so common - North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm! All names with a story from behind!

Kim, for example, had never even thought that her first daughter would be called North. In a video recently released on her YouTube channel, Kim shows that the idea of a name like this was triggered by a joke made by moderator Jay Leno during an interview with her in 2013.

"It took me a week to name the North. I got it from Jay Leno, who was initially joking with me about that name.

Kim was pregnant at the time and the moderator suggested she call the girl North (North) since her surname would be West, meaning in short the girl would be called (North West)

"I started laughing and told him there is no chance of calling my daughter like that!"

Then, according to Kim, there were people who started telling him after the show that he had to take his name seriously, because he was cute.

"Everyone was telling me it's a special name and that I should consider it. That's what I did!" Kim concluded.

The first daughter of the family was named North West and today is as special as her name!
