Orlando Bloom was open to talking about sex life before meeting Katy Perry. In an interview with The Sunday Times (via People), he revealed that he stayed celibate - not marrying and having no sexual intercourse because of his devotion to religion - for six months, until he met with Katy in 2016.

Bloom was advised by his friend Laird Hamilton not to have sex after declaring in early 2016 that he was "not happy".

To his surprise, Bloom did not have sex for six months.

"I decided to do it for three months, but I was really enjoying the way I related to women and how I felt," he said.

Asked if he saw porn at the time, he claimed that he "saw absolutely nothing".

Everything changed after Orlando met Katy Perry at the 2016 Golden Globes and his sexless time ended later.

Staying celibate is a practice that is also recommended by sexologists, as it can help redefine sex.
