A 34-year-old nurse in Italy has died after a long period of stress caused by coronavirus. The nurse, who worked at the San Gerardo hospital in Monza, Italy, had tested positive after the test and had long lived in fear of infecting others.

The 34-year-old cared for hospitalized patients in intensive care in one of the areas most affected by the pandemic. Colleagues who have worked with him for a long time tell the Italian media that the cause of the extreme act is the accumulated stress or fear of infecting others, even though it has been quarantined since the positive result.

A tragedy like this is not the first to happen in Italy during this time. Just a week ago, another nurse ended her life in Venice and the main cause is thought to be a serious stress condition.
