As of last Monday, it was said that no citizen could move freely without obtaining permission in the e-Albania portal. Soon after the announcement, there were many who complained about the problems encountered in e-Albania. "I was told that the request was rejected because the ID is incorrect", "I do not receive the confirmation response", "I put the fixed number as in the ID and make it incorrect", "It does not open", "I was told to try later. Even after two days, the same ?were some of the complaints posted on Instagram @anabel_media.
To get a clearer idea of how to build a government program, Anabel.al contacted an Albanian programmer who works for a US multinational company. He explained:
?In general, when making large programs one has to keep in mind a few things:
1. Design the software from UX (user experience) and UI (user interface) experts so that it is simple and understandable for people to use. It is also recommended that not many functions come together, so it is better to do something that works well than to do many things that do not work well.
2. Once the new features have been programmed, a user acceptance testing program must be tested by a team to make sure everything new is added works correctly.
3. Perform Load Testing before the program is put online - that is, determine the number of requests per second that the program can handle. It can also calculate the maximum number of people online that the program can maintain.
4. Have Autoscaling - this enables you to increase the number of servers to handle the load as the number of users at events such as national emergencies increases. ?
As far as e-Albania is concerned, Anabel.al contacted an Albanian programmer with long experience in online media who explained:
?From an infrastructure standpoint, which includes server capacity in Storage (Bandwidth) and Bandwidth (capacity to handle data during a situation), they have it all because they have big investments to afford not 2 million, but also 200 million. The problem lies in the way their portal is programmed. So, in other words, human resources. e-Albania is not a portal that ever falls offline, so the problem is not with coping, but there are problems with Bugs in the system due to faulty programming. ?
Offending. Bugs - In IT, the term Bug refers to all the bugs and problems of a computer program or system that cause them to produce inaccurate and unexpected results.
We add that the director of the National Agency of Information Society (AKSHI), Mirlinda Karçanaj, stated (via Top Channel) that "e-Albania was being accessed with difficulty due to the immediate flow of clicks" and added that "there will be no more difficult to access ?.
?Distinguished citizens, due to the large and immediate influx of clicks, e-Albania was occasionally accessed with difficulty. In spite of this, 116 thousand 562 instant access permissions were granted through the portal alone and 75,557 via sms at 55155. Over 50 employees, without interrupting a single second, helped thousands of other citizens update of data in their e-Albania accounts and answered questions on the simple application procedure. Dozens of engineers, however, have worked tirelessly these two days to perfect the infrastructure, and I am pleased to inform you that the system will no longer have access difficulties. I thank each of you for your understanding and invite you to open e-Albania for the necessary permits or any other service. ?
