German Virologist: 'There is no evidence of Covid-19 spreading when you

Coronavirus is not spread by shopping or going to the hairdresser. At least so claims a German virologist, after studies have been carried out.

Prof. Hendrik Streeck, has said that Covid-19 does not spread as easily as people think.

According to him, so far there is no data that proves its spread when people are shopping or going to the hairdresser. He has conducted studies in this area in the region most affected by coronavirus in Germany.

"We did not find any virus that lived on the surface. Neither on the phones nor on the door gloves," said the guest virologist on a television program. His team even tested the hair of a domestic cat in a family, but found no particles of the virus on the surface.

The virologist also said that his findings so far questioned all the measures the world is taking.

Nevertheless, he agrees with the fact that there is still much to discover about coronavirus. During the interview he focused on the first infected case in Germany's most affected country.

"She was a woman coming from China to Germany and after tests it turned out that she had only infected her colleagues. She said she had stayed in a hotel, ate at a restaurant, but only her colleagues were infected. So now we know that "Eating in a restaurant or working in a hotel does not mean being responsible for the infection. We know that this infection is not transmitted by touching objects. Closer jumps or holidays and gatherings are a source of infection." - he finished.
