In a phone call to Jimmy Kimel Live !, Jennifer Aniston said she "has no problem isolating herself at home" after suffering from agoraphobia.
"I was born with agoraphobia," she said. "It's a nightmare, even though it hasn't been very difficult for me these days."
Agoraphobia is an anxiety disorder characterized by anxiety-like symptoms. People suffering from agoraphobia perceive the surrounding environment as unsafe.
Agoraphobia situations include open spaces, crowded places, crowds, environments and public transport, shopping malls or any space outside the home.
Agoraphobia usually develops as a complication of panic and anxiety disorders involving moments of intense fear. If left untreated, feelings of agoraphobia can last forever.
