Apparently, the pandemic has also affected emojis. The Unicode Consortium, the nonprofit organization that creates emojis, announced that the devices will not be updated with new emojis for 2011 because the organization's volunteers are currently overloaded and are dealing with pandemics.

Some previously planned icons will appear in September while updates with new emojis will be made in 2022.

However, The Unicode Consortium may delay the release of new icons for a long time; as long as this emoji exists, we are fine.
