Felicity Huffman, the actress of "Desperate Housewives", did not believe that her daughter would be able to pass the standard SAT test for university admission, so she was involved in a scandal because she corrupted the test organizers. But her daughter, Sophia Grace Macy - who was unaware of Huffman's scheme - managed to get accepted to the university.

SAT is a standardized test widely used in the United States for admission to college. It aims to assess students' ability to pursue further studies. Although other alternative tests are applied, SAT is one of the most preferred ways to secure college or university admission.

A source told Page Six that Sophia, 19, passed the SAT test and was admitted to the prestigious Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. On Sunday, she posted a school logo on Instagram Stories.

In a letter to the Court during the investigation, Felicity Huffman wrote:

"I am not writing this letter in any way to justify my actions, my guilt or to avoid the consequences. In my despair of being a good mother, I thought that everything I was doing would be good for my daughter. I have broken the law, deceived the educational community, betrayed my daughter and failed in the family. I honestly don't want my daughter to go to a prestigious college, I just wanted to give her a hand to attend an acting program, which is her talent. "

Among other things, Huffman described the moment when the scandal became public and was heard by the girl. With tears in her eyes, her daughter turned to her - ?Why didn't you believe me? Why did you think I wouldn't make it? ?

In mid-September, Huffman was sentenced to two weeks in prison, prompting a backlash from the internet, as people argued it was a ridiculous sentence compared to similar cases of ordinary people.
