Disney confirms the first bisexual character in a cartoon

Diversity is also penetrating the Disney Channel. In "The Owl House", the 14-year-old girl, Luz Noceda is the main character of the series. Pixar featured a leading gay character in a short film on Disney Plus, but Luz is the first bisexual character to make a debut in a cartoon series.

The series "Owl House" follows Luzi's adventure to become a witch, even though she does not have any magical abilities. A teenager finds herself trapped by demonic evil and fights the forces of evil along with a rebellious witch and a warrior.

"In the beginning, Disney executives were not very happy with the idea of ??having LGBTQ + characters," Dana Terrer, the show's creator, said in a Twitter post. "Thankfully my stubbornness is rewarded and I am now very happy with Disney's current support."

Terrer has received a lot of positive feedback from viewers. Many people thank him for representing the LGBTQ + community, saying that they would like to have had such a series when they were children.

She encourages others to fight for what they want to see represented in the media and society.

"Representation matters!", Says the creator of the series.
