You may be familiar with the term "asexual", but you may have rarely heard of "demisexuality".

What is demisexuality?

If people who do not feel / have sexual attraction are called asexual, dissexuality means - sexual attraction only because there is a very strong emotional connection with the other person.

Demisexuals fall into the category of asexual people who are sometimes sexually attracted to someone only if they have a spiritual connection. 

They see sex much more than just a sexual sensation. You will rightly say, "I only get sexually attracted to someone I know very well, am I demisexual?"

The answer is: It depends! 

Only you know better how to identify, but remember that demisexuals do not feel any desire for sex without knowing the partner very well and without having an emotional connection with him.

Like asexuals, they face judgment and stigma simply because sex is not an essential factor in their relationship.
