One of the most famous "life coaches" (trainer / life strategist) of the moment, has been sued in the federal court of New York, by an employee, who claims that Robbins's company did not allow him reasonable accommodation, while she is passed Covid and that "Robbins took advantage of her situation, to promote herself."

Despina Costa, who worked for Robbins Research International (RRI) for 18 years, recently sued Robbins, his wife and the corporation he owns.

She said the company tried to shorten its recovery time and that Robbins caused her "emotional distress" by asking about her condition in order to make it public and advertise it for her own benefits.

"Unfairly claiming that he saved the life of an employee during an international pandemic, Robbins tried to convince his followers that he had knowledge and power outside this world, that he knew how to treat the employee better than doctors," it said. in an appeal to the U.S. District Court for the "Southern District" of New York.

Jennifer Connelly, a spokeswoman for Robbins and his company, said in a statement that Costa remained an employee and that she "chose to use the media as a tool in her attempt to advance the baseless and ridiculous allegations."

"While we wish Mrs. Costa only the best in her health and success, the claims she has regarding RRI, with Mr. "Robbins and his wife are lying," Connelly wrote in an email to Bloomberg Law. "RRI will be strongly defended through appropriate legal channels against any fabricated or exaggerated claim made in the hope that these people will be enriched."

RRI is accused of rejecting Costa's request to take time off on several occasions and of rejecting her request to work part-time while battling medical problems.

In court, the main charge remains: Discrimination and intentional emotional harassment.
