What is the Mandela effect and some examples that will shock you

Film producer Robert Evans said, "There are three sides to a story: your version, my version and the truth." Evans was right in some respects, as people can mistakenly create false memories or pseudo-images. This is the Mandela effect.

The Mandela effect occurs when a large group of people believe that an event has occurred, when in fact it did not. There are many instances of the Mandela effect in popular culture and it does not necessarily include not only events but also photos, data, details etc.

Why does it happen?

The Mandela effect got its name when Fiona Broome, a self-identified "paranormal consultant", detailed how she remembered former South African President Nelson Mandela dying in prison in the 1980s (although Mandela lived until 2013). Broome described memories of news coverage of his death and even a speech by the widow of Mandela's death. However nothing happened.

If Brum's thoughts were isolated, it would not constitute a case for study. However, Broome found that other people thought exactly the same as her. Although the events never happened, she was not the only one who thought they had happened. As a result, the concept of the Mandela effect was "born".
