In a live broadcast on TikTok, Dixie D'Amelio revealed that she has non-epileptic psychogenic seizures (PNES). D'Amelio said during the video that the disease was caused by psychological factors. Thanks to PNES, she said she ended up in hospital several times and during her first year of high school, stayed in bed for five months. 

D'Amelio revealed the diagnosis after some published videos made people think she was pretending to avoid school.

"Along with the crises, there have been many other problems. In some cases I may be speechless and not speak clearly," D'Amelio continued.

Recently a similar video circulated on the internet and about her some think that "she is only 16 years old and people are very harsh", while others say that it is "just the effect of coffee" that is giving chills.
