Why parents are tying balloons to children's feet / hands

Under careful supervision, young children can benefit from balloons, more than just the time they spend having fun with them. Under careful supervision, your toddler can also benefit from them.

To do daily tasks, we must have good motor skills. These skills begin to develop immediately after the baby is born, and as they grow, they gradually learn to do more.

A good way to strengthen motor skills and eye muscles to improve tracking and concentration is balloon "play". You can do this by loosely tying the balloon to the baby's feet or hands. When the child moves their arms and legs, they can hear the balloons move and make noise, which can also help them learn about cause and effect.

This activity also builds neck strength as they lengthen their chin to look down at their feet. This neck strength will be important later when they learn to roll. It is best to do this activity when the baby is between 1 and 5 months old, before they know how to roll over and when they are not yet interested in eating everything.

It should be noted that you should always be with your child when they are playing. Furthermore, consult a pediatrician as to whether or not this is the right solution for your baby.
