Beware of anyone who thinks William and Kate Middleton live inside the walls of Buckingham Palace. It's not like that! In fact, the royal couple lives in a giant villa in Kensington Palace, but have recently moved away, to their country house!
Once upon a time, Kate and William visited the house in Anmer Hall only on holidays and weekends when the kids were not in school, but now things have changed. The pandemic isolated us all, but certainly not the same.
The "palace" villa is located just 2 miles from the queen's residence. Named the "Hall", the building dates back to the 18th century and was once used by the Duke and Duchess of Kent, and later by a close friend of Prince Charles. The grandeur of the holiday home can not be expressed in words, so:
This building was the queen gift for Kate and William's wedding. It is said that about £ 1.5 million was spent on the interior restoration, which includes: a new kitchen, a new roof and lots of woods around to make the environment as private as possible.
Although few know, Kate and William lived there full-time from 2013 to 2017, when it came time for Prince George to go to school.
Did we forget to say that the value of the villa is £ 30 million ?! Yes and no matter how close you are, you can not see it at all, except from the surrounding area.
