Videos of Billie Eilish at the age of 13 or 14 have appeared on TikTok and show the singer mocking and joking with those who do not speak English. In one of the videos she mocks the Asian accents and in another she tries to speak like a man of color.

Through a long post on Instagram, Billie has apologized and says:

"I love you so much, and many of you have asked me to talk about it. It's something I want to address because I'm being labeled for something I'm not."

Further, the singer goes on to write that the videos had no contemptuous intent.

"Despite my ignorance and age at the time, nothing justifies the fact that it was hurtful and I'm sorry about that."

Meanwhile, for another video Billie says that "when she was little she talked to a pet and that has nothing to do with imitating the way a certain population speaks".

Last week, Eilish's boyfriend, Matthew Tyler Vorst, also apologized for racist and homophobic language in past posts on social media.
