If you notice dark spots on your feet or other areas of the skin that may look like small blackheads, you may have "strawberry" skin. The term comes from the dotted appearance that resembles strawberries.
What causes it
1. Shaving: especially unsuitable shaving with old razors or without cream.
2. Clogged pores: The skin contains thousands of pores and they can be clogged with bacteria, dead cells and dirt.
3. Folliculitis: occurs when the hair follicle becomes inflamed and sometimes infected.
4. Keratosis pilaris: appears on the skin of the thighs and upper arms.
5. Extremely dry skin: may cause or worsen symptoms.
