A trip to Disneyland is costly and since for many it is one of those "once in a lifetime" trips, it's good to have everything in mind. As a start, you should know that there are no "wrong ages" for a trip to Disney. It is a fun place for all ages, however if a "magic" age was chosen for the age groups of children, it would be from 7 to 12 years old. This, for several reasons:
- Most children of these ages can respond better to queues than young children. They are more adept at managing the turn and you will not see them crashing to the ground out of impatience or crying out loud.
- At this age, children understand enough to know better what they want and not to miss any experience without trying. They may even guide you and tell you things you do not know.
- With slightly older children instead of toddlers and preschoolers, you will not spend the entire trip stuck in Fantasyland or Toon Toon. These are the two Disneyland areas that care for the toddler / preschool group. Some of the trips are fun, but these two areas become so dense that you may start to feel like you are stuck in a sea of ??carts for the rest of your life. The travel lines stay quite long because some of the trips load so slowly!
Finally, 7-12 is the best age for Disneyland because children will enjoy everything from traveling to parades, characters, souvenirs, etc. and above all will better memorize the experience. When your kids are having a good time, you too will have a good time without much fatigue.
How to do it if you have children of different ages?
There is no problem. Disneyland is for all age groups anyway. Just do your research before you leave and gather all the possible tips for each age group.
Have a nice trip!
