Dubai created fake rain to withstand the heat, but maybe it exaggerated a bit?

The UAE has always been characterized by temperatures as high as 50 degrees Celsius, which is why the Middle East country has turned to technology to help change the situation. The country managed to successfully create false rain in an attempt to address the scorching temperatures of the city.

They funded a project that would enable drones to control the weather. In total, about $ 15 million has been paid for nine different rain improvement projects.

Dubai created fake rain to withstand the heat, but maybe it exaggerated a bit?

Keri Nicoll, one of the main actors in the project, explained:

"What we are trying to do is make the points inside the clouds big enough so that when they fall from the clouds, they survive to the surface."

This technique is preferred by most countries as it does not involve the use of chemicals, reports The Independent.

Dubai was first on the list for the drones to be tested, and they successfully created a strong downpour in the city. Other areas of the UAE reported rainfall.

Some videos have been shared on the official UAE weather Instagram to demonstrate the success of drones and, at a glance, you would not think the videos were taken in Dubai.

Given the heavy rainfall, drivers have been warned to be vigilant on slippery roads. In addition to rain, light winds were also forecast. It is hoped that the clouds will calm the high temperatures of the country.

In light of the success of the cloud planting, concerns have been raised that the UAE may have gone too far in its efforts to cause rain, as this has caused flooding in some areas, Wired reports.
