6 terribly tedious expressions you can hear in the workplace

The words that clients or colleagues can say to you during the day stay in the mind much longer than your official work schedule. It is very important to be careful when using certain phrases with the people we work around or with our co-workers. There are some that hurt you a lot more psychologically than you think!

1. "Without being offended, but ..." or "Without wanting to show disrespect, yes ..."

None of the above expressions show either respect or courtesy. Find something else!

2. "I do not have time to do this."

Psychological security is the key to a successful teamwork. The moment you hear this sentence, you rightly panic. By receiving such an answer, you realize that you can not turn to such a person when you need help.

3. "What X is trying to say is that ..."

When you hear this sentence, the first thing that comes to mind is, "I can not articulate properly, I am not capable and people do not understand me." This phrase lowers the other person's status, so be careful.

4. "You're taking it very personal, no one else had done it."

With such an expression you frustrate even more colleagues and make them even more sensitive than they can be in a moment of tension. Do not say anything if you do not have something better.

5. "You look very young for this"

A new member is not necessarily weak within a team, so this is no argument to use.
