Mistake # 1: Do not treat your hair
Keeping your hair healthy and hydrated starts before you head to the straightener. Always treat your seals when they are wet with a heat protection spray, like a high temperature shield. If you do not do this, you will see great hair damage later.
Mistake # 2: For you, the best temperature is the highest!
Just because your plate offers the option of 450 degrees, does not mean you have to use it. Even the lowest heat is not recommended because this way you simply waste time but if you want soft and healthy hair, stay at 300 degrees heat as much as you can.
Mistake # 3: Straighten your hair when it is still wet
See steam or hear small cracks in hair? Stop immediately. Your hair should be completely dry before you start. If you do not follow this advice, you risk a general injury to them.
Mistake # 4: Do not split hairs
If you comb your hair in very large parts, you will not be able to penetrate all the hairs. Start with four or more sections and focus on them for a short time.
Mistake # 5: Do not use a comb
Before applying heat to each section, comb the hair to avoid any knots that may have formed. This will make the hair straightening process very easy and you will not have to go through it again in certain sections.
Mistake # 6: Never clean the plate!
After repeated use, you just imagine how much dirt, grease or dust it accumulates. When you have finished work and it is cold, do a gentle cleaning along the tiles with warm water or rub with alcohol. Use cotton to clean even the smallest spots.
