Another South Korean horror series, produced by Netflix, has become a global overnight phenomenon. "Hellbound" dethroned "Squid Game" as the most watched show on the broadcast platform.
According to FlixPatrol analysis , "Hellbound", written by Choi Kyu-so and directed by Yeon Sang-ho, became the most watched Netflix series in the world on November 20, topping broadcast ratings in more than 80 countries within 24 hours from debut.
The series, based on the comic book of the same title, focuses on the violent actions of a group of demons, who pursue sinners who have been previously visited by a celestial being who has informed the victim of the date and time of death.
When the time comes, three demons materialize to kill people, dragging their souls down to Hell with them. In Hellbound, religion and horror go hand in hand.
