Betty White, the actress known for her roles in the sitcoms "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" and "The Golden Girls," passed away at the age of 99.

White passed away at her home Friday morning, just two weeks before she turned 100 years old. Her agent, Jeff Witjas, told People magazine: "Even though Betty was almost 100 years old, I thought she would live forever."
