Chris Rock returned to the stage on Wednesday, for the first time since the day Will Will attended the Oscars.
In the first of his two performances, he was greeted by the audience in Boston and the applause that lasted several minutes touched the comedian. With tears in his eyes, he joked, "How was your weekend?"
"I will not talk about what happened, so if you have come to hear this, I have a whole show that I wrote before this weekend. I'm still working on what happened, so in a moment I'll talk. "And it's going to be serious and funny, but now I're going to tell some jokes." Said the comedian.
The comedian, currently on his "Ego Death Tour", then continued the performance. He stressed that he is planning to talk about the incident at the Oscars in a more detailed moment.
Then, referring to whether he has spoken to Will Smith since the weekend event, Rock said, "I have not spoken to anyone, regardless of what you have heard."
Will Smith publicly apologized to Chris Rock, calling his behavior "unacceptable and unforgivable." The academy said the actor was asked to leave the ceremony after the incident, but refused.
Some sources told Page Six that Rock did not even intend to file a lawsuit against Will Smith.
