Kailia Posey, who appeared in "Toddlers & Tiaras" when she was 5 years old, has passed away at the age of 16.

Her mother, Marcy Posey Gatterman, initially posted the tragic news without giving details of the cause of death. However she later revealed to TMZ that Kailia passed away by suicide.

"Even though she was a realized teenager with a bright future ahead, unfortunately at a tumultuous moment, she made the hasty decision to end her life," the family told TMZ.

Kailia was Posey was one of the stars of the reality show "Toddlers & Tiaras", which aired from 2009 to 2013 and is based on families preparing their children to compete in beauty pageants. She became GIF and viral meme because of this photo:
