Hair loss is much more common in men than in women, so using it to describe someone is a form of discrimination, a court has said. According to her, commenting on a man's lack of hair in the workplace is similar to comments on a woman's breast size, reports the Guardian.

The decision was made after an issue was raised by an electrician against the company where he was employed. Tony Finn was employed by the West Yorkshire-based British Bung Company for almost 24 years when he was fired in May last year. He took the company to court claiming, among other things, that he had been the victim of sexual harassment following an incident with the factory supervisor, Jamie King.

Finn claimed that during a brawl in the store in July 2019, King had referred to him as a "bald cunt". "Bald" means "bald", while "cunt" is a vulgar word in slang that refers to the female genitals.

Insult or harassment? The court ruled that by referring the plaintiff as a "bald cunt", Mr. King's conduct was a violation of the plaintiff's dignity, it created an intimidating environment for him, it was said for this purpose and is related to the plaintiff's sex.

Finn's compensation will be determined at a later date.
