Despite the ex-husband trying to take advantage of the situation for attention by trying to break up the wedding , Britney Spears and Sam Asghari said "Yes, I accept!".

Numerous sources confirmed to People that they got married Thursday night in Los Angeles.

According to sources, Britney wore a dress by Versace and walked to the altar with the background song "Can't Help Falling in Love" by Elvis Presley.

"I'm very excited that this day has come and they've been married. I know he've wanted her for so long. He 's so caring and supportive at every step of the way," Asghari manager Brandon Cohen told People after the ceremony.

Ahead of the celebrations, an inside source revealed that Spears, 40, had been planning her wedding day for nearly nine months. "Britney started planning and dreaming of marriage right after she got engaged in November," the source told People. "It's a great achievement for her to finally be able to get married. "She wants the wedding to be perfect."

Her sons, Sean Preston, 16, and Jayden James, 15, were not present at the wedding but are "happy" for their mother, said a lawyer for Kevin Federline.

Only Britney's brother, Bryan, was reportedly present, while her mother, father and sister, Jamie Lynn, were not.
