The "pomodoro" technique is a successful method that involves increasing the level of productivity, to fulfill a certain task. It was first developed by Francesco Cirillo in the late 80s and later, it was also applied in business schools in Rome. The name originates from "pomodoro" (in Italian "tomato"), as the first clock that Cirillo used was in the kitchen and had the shape of a tomato.
This theory consists of setting fixed schedules for completing the task, but also to take breaks in between, which foster creativity.
What do you need to apply it? A pencil, a paper and an alarm clock.
The steps are:
Choose a task that you will accomplish.
Set the alarm for 25 minutes.
Work with the task until the alarm goes off.
Take a short break, 5-10 minutes.
Work again for 25 minutes.
After 3-4 repetitions, take a longer break, about 20-30 minutes.
Thus, you will be able to relax and recharge your mind. Productivity and energy will increase, the results will be satisfactory and you will be happy.
