Go to the ice cream shop and you will see a variety of flavors. There is only one flavor that is always missing: grapes. Why can you easily find strawberry, raspberry, cherry or mint, but not grape ice cream. Why is it so difficult?
1. It's hard to make grape ice cream.
It is not impossible to make ice cream with grapes, but it is difficult to do so because grapes contain 81% water. In small quantities, ice cream makers can effectively manage the consistency of the grapes, making delicious ice cream, but in larger quantities, the process becomes more difficult (and therefore expensive).
Additionally, consumers generally want real pieces of fruit in desserts (case in point: cherry ice cream or strawberry ice cream). Freeze a grape and you'll end up with an ice cube.
2. People don't actually like it.
Perhaps, if grapes had been introduced to ice cream a long time ago, people would have an appetite for them now. Grapes are not the first thing that comes to mind when we think of ice cream. People tend not to want to try something they don't know and haven't tried before. So grape ice cream will never be famous.
